Two doctors are suing HHS, OPM, AHRQ, and their respective leaders for suppressing publications on a patient safety website called "Patient Safety Network" or "PSNet". The plaintiffs are authors of publications that were targeted for removal because they contain language that supposedly violates Trump's Executive Order 14168. Plaintiffs allege this action is a violation of their First Amendment rights and several violations of administrative procedures. Their prayer for relief includes declaring the OPM's directive and AHRQ's implementation removing material from private individuals and organizations on government-run forums unconstitutional, declare those actions arbitrary and capricious, order restoration of the articles, enjoin the agencies from repeating the behavior, and award attorney's fees.
As of August 30, 2025, the judge has granted the preliminary injunction as the case proceeds.
