Doctors for America (DfA) is suing various federal agencies for removing health-related information from their websites. DfA alleges that the CDC through the action of removing the webpages, failed to provide adequate notice prior to altering "dissemination products" and failed to ensure the public has timely and equitable access to health information. The prayer for relief is 1) declare the federal agencies violated the law, 2) order the federal agencies to restore the web pages, and 3) enjoin the federal agencies from taking similar unlawful action in the future. A temporary restraining order was granted on February 11th. On February 18th, the city and county of San Francisco joined as a plaintiff party. The temporary restraining order is set to expire Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The joint report filed on February 21st presents the opposing suggestions for future litigation. The judge's order filed February 24, 2025 sets deadlines for both plaintiffs and defendants related to producing status reports and filing motions and responses.
